High-performance rooflights from The Rooflight Company meet tough aesthetic and thermal demands

Renovating a property or building within a conservation area means careful consideration to preserving the historic integrity, but does not restrict the ability to modernise with rooflights. The Rooflight Company’s original Conservation Rooflight® replicates the Victorian cast iron model combining design and innovation. This ensures that it meets all current building regulations, including Conservation, English Heritage, and the National Trust, while also benefiting from the latest thermal efficiency.

The Conservation Rooflight® features slim, clean lines and a low-profile to match the roofline, enhancing a building’s aesthetics – with linking bars for every size, to maximise light ingress and ventilation into older buildings.  A top hinged opening retains the authentic appearance, as do the glazing clips on the exterior, bringing it into the 21st century without losing any of the original features. The rooflight achieves whole unit U-value (Uw) of 1.5 W/m²K, in accordance with EN ISO 10077-2:2012.

The Conservation Plateau is the only flat rooflight designed specifically for heritage buildings with an authentic skirt design. It achieves whole unit U-value (Uw) of 1.4 W/m²K in accordance with EN ISO 10077-2:2012. All of the company’s heritage roof windows are fitted with a unique Thermoliner® feature, which allows condensation to be controlled while limiting the risk of mould. The standard frame is finished in a textured semi-gloss, black RAL 9005 paint finish.

There are a wide range of standard sizes in stock to fit all rafter widths, with a made to measure service that avoids cutting existing rafters. This allows specifiers to preserve the integrity of historical buildings.
