Organised by Architecture Today magazine in association with Schüco, the event will take place on Thursday 24th September at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, 36-38 Westland Row, Dublin 3.
The aim is to bring together architects, consultants, clients and city leaders to explore the particular challenges and opportunities facing Irish cities today – and to share lessons from both local initiatives and international best practice.
The event will offer an opportunity to:
- Get the inside track on the policies, strategies and visions affecting construction and development on the island of Ireland
- Hear case studies on influential projects
- Visit schemes to learn lessons from specific buildings and master-planning projects and the solutions and thinking behind them
- Network with fellow professions and stakeholders involved in shaping the future of Irish cities
We are inviting a carefully selected audience of around 60 architects, developers, clients, contractors and city leaders to take part in a day of short presentations, discussion and city tours followed by an evening drinks reception.
Speakers and panelists confirmed include:
- Conor Sreenan, State Architect and Principal Architect, Office of Public Works
- John Tuomey, Founding Director, O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects
- Dr Carole Pollard, Co-editor of Irish Cities in Crisis
- Andrew Clancy, Founding Director, Clancy Moore Architects
