Landmark Industrial bathroom fittings from Samuel Heath complement a concrete-themed domestic bathroom in London

Buildings.

Samuel Heath’s Landmark Industrial bathroom fittings have been used to striking effect in a concrete-themed bathroom at a Victorian townhouse in London. The interior refurbishment scheme employs a clean contemporary style that does not detract from the building’s 19th century heritage.

Landmark Industrial bathroom fittings provide a functional yet stylish aesthetic

The owners, Tessa Dash and Haema Sundram, found inspiration for the family bathroom design at Samuel Heath’s showroom at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. Haema explains, “We saw Samuel Heath’s Landmark Industrial taps and showers and fell in love with them. The shape and proportions of the fittings, together with the knurled details were just what we wanted; clean, functional and tactile. The City Bronze finish gave us the flexibility to pursue a modern, industrial design style for the bathroom whilst referencing our home’s Victorian features.”

The taps and shower fittings were specified in a City Bronze finish

To create the bathroom’s industrial look, the couple opted for a concrete theme. A floating wall provides separation between the toilet area and shower. A concrete basin was sourced, and a micro-cement finish was applied to the shower walls, floating wall and floors.

The clean, minimalist style of the bathroom was extended through the careful selection of other fittings, including lights and switches chosen to match the City Bronze finish of the Landmark taps and shower. Unable to find a toilet flush control button in bronze, the couple sent the stock product to Samuel Heath where the City Bronze finish was applied.
