Flotex Planks from Forbo Flooring Systems get a smart and sophisticated refresh for 2021

Buildings.

Refreshed for 2021, Forbo Flooring Systems’ versatile Flotex Planks range now comprises 96 colourways across 11 sophisticated designs. Split into two distinct design families: Surfaces and Textures, architects can create exciting flooring schemes within a variety of settings, including offices, retail, aged care, leisure and hospitality.

Buildings.

The Surface designs are inspired by natural materials and include Wood, Concrete, Seagrass, Marble, Ombré and Montage; the latter three of which are new. Textures is influenced by graphic, geometric and textile patterns, and consist of the all-new Converge, Frameweave and Refract designs, as well as established favourites Triad and Box-Cross.

Buildings.

Although the individual designs from across the collection are different, the colours are tonally similar, allowing them to be combined easily to either create unique flooring designs, help with zoning spaces or aid wayfinding around a building. Alternatively, as Flotex Planks show little repeat in their patterning, they can be used to create interesting and beautiful floors even when only one single colour is used.

Buildings.

The plank format provides advanced design capabilities, which offer a more contemporary aesthetic compared to traditional square tiles. For example, patterns such as herringbone and chevron can be fashioned with ease. With over 70 million fibres per-square-metre, Flotex offers the warmth, comfort and acoustic properties of a textile floor covering combined with outstanding durability and cleanability. It also has zero phthalates, low VOC emissions and is the only textile floor covering to hold the prestigious Allergy UK Seal of Approval™.
