The Conservation Pitchglaze Roof Window from Glazing Vision has been developed for pitched roof applications where planning sensitivity and architectural restraint are key considerations. Intended for use within conservation areas, listed buildings and other heritage‑led contexts, the system is suited to high‑end residential projects and period conversions where daylight is required without visual disruption to the roofscape.

Installed flush within the roof plane, the fixed, in‑plane roof window maintains uninterrupted rooflines and minimises prominence when viewed from surrounding elevations. This low‑profile approach supports use in locations where alterations to the roof are closely scrutinised, including historic urban settings and protected rural landscapes.

The slim aluminium frame is finished in RAL 9005 Jet Black and carefully detailed to reference the appearance of traditional cast‑iron roof glazing typically found on Victorian and Edwardian buildings. Optional mullion bar configurations allow the system to respond to historic proportions and fenestration patterns, enabling architects to align the roof glazing with surrounding architectural language.

Internally, the Conservation Pitchglaze follows a glass‑led design approach. Framing is reduced to the minimum required structurally, maximising glazed area and improving daylight penetration while maintaining a controlled, understated visual presence. The result is a clean internal appearance that supports both heritage refurbishments and discreet contemporary interventions.

The system is available in portrait and landscape formats and accommodates roof pitches ranging from 15° to 85°, allowing it to be used across a broad range of roof geometries – from shallow extension roofs to steeply pitched historic structures. This flexibility supports use across refurbishment, retrofit and sensitive new‑build applications within established contexts.

Frames are powder coated using a Qualicoat‑approved application process, ensuring durability, colour consistency and long‑term resistance to weathering in exposed roof conditions. The Conservation Pitchglaze Roof Window is UKCA and CE marked and manufactured to meet current UK and European standards, offering a technically robust and visually restrained solution for sensitive roof glazing scenarios.
