Buildings.

Originally developed to address the fire and moisture management requirements of relevant buildings with masonry external walls, Siderise CT Cavity Tray has spent the past five years supporting compliant cavity wall designs across the UK, providing specifiers with a tested and trusted solution for brickwork projects.

Holistically proven performance
Unlike traditional cavity tray solutions, Siderise CT Cavity Tray has been engineered as a complete system. The product features a flexible thin-gauge aluminium tray with an integral non-combustible stone wool core that achieves an A2-s1, d0 reaction to fire classification to EN 13501-1. Importantly, this classification applies to the complete pre-formed cavity tray section incorporating the DPM flashing rather than its individual component materials, providing greater confidence when specifying for high-rise residential and other relevant buildings subject to Regulation 7(2) requirements.

For further assurance that the product is fit for purpose, it has undergone rigorous BBA testing and certification, including assessing joint water tightness, mortar adhesion, material durability and practicability of installation. It can also comply with the technical requirements of major warranty providers, such as NHBC, Premier Guarantee and LABC.

In addition, the stone wool-filled triangular prism has a lower thermal continuity value than other materials commonly used for cavity trays which supports thermal calculations and condensation risk assessments.

Simpler detailing
The traditional method of using formed rigid metal trays can present difficulties when detailing complex areas such as external corners, around windows and ends. Siderise CT Cavity Tray offers a simplified approach, allowing these areas to be addressed by cutting the tray at the correct angles and sealing the joints with a specially formulated foil sealing tape to maintain integrity. During the design stage, DWG dynamic CAD blocks with built-in parameters make it easier to improve the accuracy and efficiency of detailing processes.

To further support specification confidence, Siderise CT Cavity Tray has achieved CCPI Assessed status, providing assurance that published product information is clear, accurate, accessible and maintained under robust governance.

Compatible with Siderise firestops and cavity barriers
As part of the wider Siderise passive fire protection portfolio, the CT Cavity Tray system comprising all the components needed to support a tested moisture management solution and effective installation with stop ends, aluminium foil jointing tape and  DPM seal tape  can be specified alongside Siderise EW cavity barriers and firestops and BB-FB fireboard encapsulation for balcony connectors. The stainless-steel cavity tray stop ends for window head and reveal details have also been tested as part of the BBA-certified system. This holistic systemised approach can help designers create wall systems with compatible components from a single manufacturer. This also simplifies specification, supports coordinated performance and can streamline procurement and site logistics.

Reliable onsite quality
The product eliminates the need for onsite fabrication, additional insulation or sealant application. Installation requires only a cutting knife /saw, marker pen and tape measure for tools, helping reduce labour demands and support programme certainty, particularly on larger multi-storey projects where multiple trades are working within shared access arrangements.
