In today’s work and learning spaces, privacy is a key consideration when specifying for productive and comfortable surroundings. With open-plan layouts, the provision of quieter areas and spaces that respond to individual needs has become increasingly important. In meeting these challenges, the ideal design options offer proven performance and provide flexibility to meet future occupant needs.

Optima Revolution 100 glazed partitioning provides specifiers both high-acoustic performance and a stylish design. This demountable partitioning also offers adaptability. The partitions can be moved and reinstalled if floor plates need to be reconfigured.

Project for digital innovator leads on acoustics and style
A popular choice, Revolution 100 helps create light-filled spaces while meeting the need for superior privacy and support for different working styles. This was the case in a recent project designed by Perkins + Will. Here the client, a leading short-form video platform, was keen that its new London headquarters provided a bright airy space and a dynamic workplace that supported employee wellbeing.

Revolution 100 partitions were installed to create several large boardrooms, as well as private offices in the fit out. Achieving an acoustic rating of up to Rw 53dB with two sheets of 16.8mm acoustic laminate glass, the solution answered the client’s needs. Optima’s Nebula™ dry-jointed system was specified alongside Revolution 100, reinforcing acoustic performance and enabling straightforward relocation should the layout need to evolve.

Another key aspect of the project was the integration of Revolution 100 with Optima’s innovative Adaptable Meeting Room (AMR). In one of the largest AMR installations to date, both systems follow the same design language that ensures a seamless aesthetic throughout the interior, from the full-height glazed partitioning to fully enclosed meeting spaces.

A finishing touch for this considered project was the application of a manifestation derived from the client’s famous logo. This provided visual privacy while also maintaining a sense of brand throughout the entire design.
