Chosen for reasons technical performance and aesthetics, the project features more than 120-square-metres of Taralay Impression for the chemotherapy rooms, 1200-square-metres of Taralay Impression Control safety flooring for public areas where slip resistance is paramount, and with 200-square-metres of Mipolam Accord EL7 in the MRI areas.

Taralay Impression was favoured for its ability to cope with chemotherapy fluids. It is equipped with Protecsol® 2, a patented surface treatment that provides excellent chemical resistance to products commonly used in healthcare environments, such as betadine, eosin, hydro alcoholic solutions. The treatment eschews the need for acrylic emulsion, which saves cleaning time and money through reduced water and detergent consumption.

Mipolam Accord EL7 from Gerflor is a dissipative flexible homogeneous vinyl floor covering available in both sheet and tile form, calendered and compacted. It is treated with Evercare™, a polyurethane surface treatment that provides outstanding chemical stain-resistance and increased long-term durability. The treatment has excellent maintenance characteristics and does not require waxing. The flooring has a group P wear rating, is Bl-s1 fire-resistant, and has an R9 slip-resistance rating in the wet.
