CUPACLAD systems from Cupa Pizarras combine the properties of slate with the advantages of ventilated facades

Choosing the right facade design and materials are among the most important decisions on residential projects. Not only for reasons of aesthetics, but also for the pivotal role they play in delivering sustainability and energy efficiency. Slate is an excellent natural cladding material with unmatched durability and performance. It will also protect the building without losing its colour and appearance over time.

Developed by the Cupa Pizarras’ R&D team, together with Danish architects and contractors, CUPACLAD systems combine the properties of slate with the advantages of ventilated facades, including improved thermal efficiency, as well as noise and moisture reduction. The CUPACLAD range incorporates both visible and invisible fixing options – CUPACLAD 201 and CUPACLAD 101 respectively. Examples of recent projects that have used these systems include Split House near Pett in South Essex, and Villa P in Fredericia, Denmark.
