When St Joseph turned to Sapphire for a balcony solution, one of the key challenges was the lack of on-site storage. Balconies had to be delivered and installed directly from the delivery vehicle without the opportunity to store them on-site. Sapphire’s offsite manufacturing and logistics model provided a seamless solution. Each balcony was fabricated and assembled offsite in a controlled environment to ensure quality, then delivered just in time for installation, enabling a swift, efficient process that reduced disruption and maintained build momentum.

This project also marked the first collaboration between Sapphire and the newly formed St Joseph division, although Sapphire’s longstanding relationship with the wider Berkeley Group helped ensure strong communication and coordination throughout. The result is a development that not only enhances Birmingham’s skyline but also sets a new benchmark for quality and efficiency in high-density residential construction.
