A new exhibition is set to bring the work of 100 leading women architects into the spotlight this autumn at the Roca London Gallery. Running from 18 October 2024 to 28 March 2025, 100 Women Architects has been curated by the team behind the award-winning book 100 Women: Architects in Practice by Dr. Harriet Harriss, Naomi House, Monika Parrinder and Tom Ravenscroft and features projects from architects spanning 79 countries across six continents.
With exhibits ranging from photos to 3D models – the latter being constructed by students from London’s RCA Architecture programme – the show offers a look into the innovative, regionally relevant architectural work from household names such as Liz Diller, Farshid Moussavi and Yasmeen Lari, as well as other leading, but less well-known practitioners such as Rahel Shawl and Laura Narayansingh, among many others.
Through highlighted works, the exhibition aims to celebrate women’s underrepresented contributions to architecture, offering a platform for leading but often unheard voices. [name of exhibition] addresses sustainability, practice innovation, and equity, with thought-provoking perspectives on gender in the field.
“Our aspiration is gender equity across all professions and disciplines, said the curatorial team in a statement. “We wrote the book to play some part in increasing the visibility of architectural practitioners who all have the knowledge and talent to be a household name.”
100 Women Architects runs from 18 October 2024 through to 28 March 2025.
