The new headquarters for global real estate company JLL at 20 Water Street in London’s Canary Wharf is an outstanding example of how workplace environments should look and feel in the post-pandemic era. Developed by design and build company Tétris, this peaceful waterside office space has become synonymous with sustainability, technology, and wellbeing.
Ensuring the building was acoustically sound was a priority in order to create a pleasant and productive workspace free from unnecessary distraction. With a reputation for achieving best-in-class acoustics at some of Britain’s most ambitious hybrid working spaces, Tétris turned to Oscar Acoustics and its SonaSpray acoustic spray range.

SonaSpray’s ability to absorb sound energy, rather than reflect it, makes the product ideal for noisy workplaces. It reduces both reverberation times and overall noise levels. SonaSpray is one of the only acoustic sprays on the market to provide fire credentials that go above and beyond Approved Document B fire requirements (Class 0 to BS476 & B-s1, d0 fire rating).
The product is also M1 Classified as a Low Emitting Building Material, contributes towards SKA Living Building Challenge, and contributes 17 points towards the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating of a project.

With accreditations, such as GREENGUARD Gold Certified compliance for Indoor Air Quality, SonaSpray helped Tétris prove the highest welfare standards. The building now satisfies many features under the WELL Building Standard and has since been rated ‘Outstanding’ by BREEAM.
The SonaSpray acoustic spray range, as well as the full range of Oscar Acoustics sprays and plasters for the control of noise reverberation in buildings, is available on NBS Source.
