2020 has been a challenging year thus far and one that has caused many to reflect upon what is truly important to them. Neolith®, the pioneering brand of Sintered Stone, has responded to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and its impact with the launch of its latest, principle-led ‘Six-S’ collection. A commitment to sustainability, green manufacturing and the need to respond to the global climate emergency also provided inspiration for this visually captivating range of low carbon surfaces. In turn, the designs pay homage to the natural world.

The six new designs showcase the brand’s cutting-edge decoration technology and finishing techniques, enabling limitless creativity for architects who specify this versatile material. These surfaces have been developed to look beyond superficial aesthetics, delving deeper into six essential characteristics that communicate the brand’s commitment to wellbeing, community and sustainability. They are: Solidary, Sanitary, Strong, Stylish, Sensory and Sustainable.

Going further, the Six-S campaign will be supported by several initiatives throughout 2020 and 2021, demonstrating how Neolith® can turn its core values into positive activities benefiting global society. The latest of these is ‘Solidary’, which aims to help those whose lives have been severely impacted by COVID-19. For every square metre of surfaces sold, until the end of 2020, Neolith® will donate 1kg of provisions to food banks within the country of sale. This will be facilitated by the brand’s distribution partners in each territory, who will personally oversee the donations.

New Introductions
Each new model delivers a distinct aesthetic, with some a development of previous popular Neolith® slab styles.

Himalaya Crystal is a stunning homage to the Himalayan salt crystal landscapes. Bold veining sublimely contrasts with subtle spontaneity, while a slight translucence adds to the colour’s authenticity. Its crystalline appearance elegantly illuminates the space in which it’s applied. This model is available in two different, yet equally stunning finishes, and a range of thicknesses, allowing architects to fully tailor the finished effect to the project’s exact needs. Décor Polished provides an intensity of colour, while Ultrasoft gives a chamois-like texture making the surface intriguing and tactile.

Buildings.

Layla is inspired by the magic and mysticism of ‘One Thousand and One Arabian Nights’. Tales of dark desert caves overflowing with precious gems and glittering gold inspired this pattern, which uses previous Neolith® models as a starting point to create an exquisite slab with an intense captivating aesthetic. Layla is also provided in two distinctive finishes: DĂ©cor Polished, which enhances the depth and elegance of the design, and Slate, which mimicks the relief of the eponymous material.

Buildings.

Abu Dhabi White is inspired by the UAE capital’s striking Sheikh Zayed Mosque. This model possesses a delicate appearance, promoting a sense of simplicity while exuding supreme elegance. The hyper-realistic texture perfectly captures the feel of natural unpolished stone, delivering a refreshing minimalist look. Choose between the Décor Polished finish, which elevates the sense of luxury, or a Silk finish, that gives the slab a mesmerising 3D structure and delivers a new level of realism.

Amazonico is a dark and mysterious design that evokes a journey upwards from the dense rainforest floor to the tree canopy, where verdant colours gradually give way to lighter tones. A special ultra-tactile finish further enhances its sensuous natural qualities. Just like the environment that inspired this model, Amazonico is unique and captivating, encouraging visual exploration of this surface’s stunning textural spontaneity. It would serve as a monumental focal point, commanding attention in any space.

Winter Dala is the first of two timber slabs and a tribute to the slow-growing pines surrounding Sweden’s Lake Siljan. This model beautifully replicates a deep, weathered timber, conjuring up images of the windswept coastlines of Scandinavia.

Summer Dala is an ode to nature and a call to preserve rainforests. It also emulates the beautiful fine texture of freshly cut timber. The elegant subtle grain throughout offers a sense of movement and depth, while the bright, neutral aesthetic guarantees it will complement every interior, dark or light, patterned or plain.

All Neolith® surfaces are 100 per cent natural and manufactured in a carbon-neutral environment.
