Leading acoustic solution manufacturer, Soundtect, has launched its latest innovative ceiling system ACOURA. Manufactured as a third-generation 70 per cent recycled PET product, it is contemporary, lightweight, easy-to-install, beautiful, and global GreenTag certified. ACOURA is completely adaptable to different environments, with the client able to choose the width and depth of the U-shaped channels, as well as the spacing in between, to work with any ceiling and existing M&E restrictions.
ACOURA
The ceiling system is not only available in 24 colours from the Freestyle range, but Soundtect, well known for its Timba wood affect textures, is able to match any wood finish, due to its proprietary printing methods. The ACOURA sustainable acoustic ceiling not only delivers a truly bespoke, unique solution to reverberation but also a fabulous and inspiring alternative to heavy wooden beams with no impact on the environment.
Sustainability
Soundtect has zero CO2 emissions and zero water emissions, and by using solar power for its factory, has earned several awards for contribution to the environment, especially as the product’s core material is post-consumer plastic with a low-VOC content. The new product, which is part of the Freestyle range, is a fantastic addition to the existing acoustic wall and ceiling solutions Soundtect supplies to the commercial, educational and hospitality sectors.
Recently, Soundtect worked on a beautiful office fit-out overlooking the City of London, where designer Hop Interiors – well-known for the sublime joinery employed on its projects – invited Soundtect to supply the ceiling system to match the wood it had already specified across the scheme. The result is an outstanding and timeless ceiling, which beautifully matches the rest of the building design and finishes, as well as creates a highly effective acoustic treatment for the open-plan space.
Installation
With a unique and clever bespoke carrier system, ACOURA baffles can be easily removed and reinstalled again-and-again, ensuring quick-and-easy access to the ceiling’s mechanical and electrical services when needed. With a full case study coming soon for the City project and a further Walnut Finish project in Dubai currently being installed, Soundtect is delighted that ACOURA is establishing itself as a sought after solution to reverberation that packs a punch both aurally and visually.
