This year’s Brick Awards are open for entries and include a new Sustainability Award alongside 16 other categories.

Celebrating the best examples of clay brick in the built environment, the 2023 Brick Awards have opened for entries. There are 18 categories, including the Supreme Award for the overall winner. four of the awards – Contractor’s Choice, Architect’s Choice, Sustainability and Supreme – are judged and voted for independently. The new Sustainability Award reflects the intentions of British brick manufacturers and highlights the positive, sustainable initiatives taking place within the industry.

The awards are free to enter and will be judged by an expert panel chaired by Gerard Maccreanor, co-founder of  Maccreanor Lavington. Projects must have been completed within the last two year to qualify for entry and use UK-manufactured bricks (unless entered for the Worldwide category).

The Brick Awards ceremony will take place on 8 November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. The deadline for entry is the 17 May. For more information call 020 7323 7034, email, or visit the Brick Development Association (BDA) website.
