The RIBA London Ethical Practice Special Interest Group has announced the speaker line-up for its third Forum – How Should We Innovate? – which takes place on Wednesday 7th October at the Building Centre in central London as part of Regenerative Design 2026.

Jo McCafferty from Levitt Bernstein , RIBA President Elect Jay Morton, from Bell Phillips, Dinah Bornat from ZCD Architects, Alasdair Ben Dixon from Collective Works and Doug Hodgson from New-Works will be speaking at How should we innovate? the third Forum of the RIBA London Ethical Practice Special Interest Group (SIG) – with a special guest speaker to be announced before the day.
The event, which takes place at the Building Centre in central London from 2-5pm on Wednesday 7th October as part of Regenerative Design 2026, will also include prepared ‘Provocations’ from some selected attendees, and will share outputs from the first two Ethical Practice SIG Forums, held earlier this year in April and July, which asked the questions, “How Should We Work?” and “How Should We Collaborate?”

Chaired by New-works co-founder & RIBA London Chair Doug Hodgson, the Ethical Practice SIG is part of RIBA London’s Local Initiative Fund (LIF) programme to help inform RIBA London’s insights gathering function. With this third Forum free to all RIBA London members, the aim of the RIBA London Chair is to convene members to discuss issues facing the industry in a collaborative space with others from across the sector, gathering to tackle complex moral, environmental, and structural challenges facing the built environment.
The discussions will look to identify areas of common ground and disagreement, and surface practical insight that may help inform future conversations across RIBA and the wider profession in relation to the topic of Ethical Practice. Recommendations arising from discussions will be considered through the appropriate RIBA channels and should therefore not be understood as a formal RIBA policy position or direction.
