Architecture Today and UK Architects Declare are contributing to this year’s Futurebuild, co-locating with UK Construction Week, from 12–14 May 2026 at ExCeL London.

On Wednesday 13 May, 14:45–15:45 (Main Stage), we will be hosting a 60-minute session exploring what regenerative architecture looks like in practice today.

All three speakers are from practices engaged with the Regenerative Architecture Index (RAI).

Taking to the stage will be:

  • Anna Liu, Director, Tonkin Liu
Exploring Co-evolving with nature, demonstrating how natural systems become generative design partners rather than constraints.
  • Laura Baron, Head of Sustainability, Purcell
Addressing Being a good ancestor, and what long-term custodianship means in the face of climate risk, heritage responsibility and economic constraint.
  • Jan Kattein, Director, Jan Kattein Architects
On Creating a just space for people, positioning regeneration as a social as well as environmental act.

Chaired by Isabel Allen, Editor of Architecture Today, the session will look to draw connections across ecological reciprocity, long-term stewardship and social justice.

Futurebuild’s Knowledge Programme forms part of the Super Event’s 13 content stages, 700+ speakers and 250+ hours of CPD-accredited content. Architects, engineers, planners, clients and policy-makers will be in attendance.
