We are delighted to announce that The Concrete Centre, a leader in the provision of material, design and construction guidance, is a sponsor of the 2024 Architecture Today Awards for buildings that stand the test of time.

The Concrete Centre’s aim is to enable all those involved in the design, use and performance of concrete to realise its structural, aesthetic and sustainability potential. In doing so, it makes published guidance, seminars, courses, online resources and industry research readily available to the design community.

The Centre’s core values include providing inspiration on how to use concrete and masonry in new ways, and highlighting exemplars of design and use, as well as delivering learning experiences, such as technical guidance and training, to enable specifiers to become knowledgeable about design options. Additionally, they support innovation and celebrate experimentation by working with industry and specifiers to develop innovations in what concrete and masonry can achieve.

As a sponsor of the 2024 Architecture Today Awards, The Concrete Centre acknowledges the immense importance of buildings that endure the test of time.

Elaine Toogood, Director, Architecture and Sustainable Design at The Concrete Centre said:

“The Concrete Centre is delighted to become sponsors of the Architecture Today 2024 Awards to share in the celebration of buildings that stand the test of time.  Now more than ever, the importance of long-term performance is being recognised as fundamental to a sustainable built environment. And concrete offers plenty of ways to support this including long-life and low maintenance not to mention the opportunities for enduring, beautiful forms and textures.

Sharing best practice in the use of concrete is key to achieving The Concrete Centre’s aims, which are  to enable those involved in the design and specification of concrete to realise its best performance including structural, aesthetic and sustainability credentials. We aim to achieve this through the provision of published guidance, seminars, courses and other online resources, but supporting the  AT Awards are also a fantastic extension to this activity. We look forward to seeing the results.”

The Concrete Centre will be at the AT Awards Live Finals on 18th September. Want to be there? Make sure you’re in with a chance of being a finalist by entering this year’s awards. Enter here.
