LAMILUX is unveiling its new – never seen before in the UK – LAMILUX Glass Skylight FE3° at Futurebuild in London (3-5 March). With a three-degree inclination and structural glazing construction, the unit is functional, and aesthetically pleasing – maximising daylighting while ensuring rainwater can run-off easily.

Award-winning Glass Skylight FE now with three-degree inclination
LAMILUX Glass Skylight FE entered the market in 2019. This non-inclined version has already won numerous accolades, including the German Design Award and the Red Dot Award. The new version – with a three-degree inclination built into the framework – means that the product is now suitable for installation on completely flat roofs.

About LAMILUX Glass Skylight FE 3°
The skylight incorporates a new joining technology, which allows the framework to be connected at the corners without any visible fixings or welding seams. LAMILUX also uses structural glazing technology, where the glass pane and frame are bonded to create a flush surface. This allows rainwater and dirt to run off all four sides of the glass, even if a non-inclined skylight is installed. The new three-degree inclined version makes rainwater run off the glass even faster.

The consistant appearance has no visable fixings, while the concealed integration of all drives, cables and other components into the frame of the skylight ensures a streamlined aesthetic both internally and externally. The skylight is delivered completely pre-assembled on a fully insulated upstand, ensuring quick and simple installation.

Providing flexibility and choice
The LAMILUX Glass Skylight FE 3° is available in special shapes, as well as a wide variety of glazing options and sizes up to 2.5 metres. A range of inside and outside colour options ensure creative flexibility. Additional accessories, such as sun protection and roller blinds, are also available and can be integrated in both residential and commercial buildings.

With additional benefits of simple installation, attractive designs and durability, the new LAMILUX Glass Skylight FE 3° is ideal for projects that require something special and exclusive. High energy-efficiency is provided by the absence of thermal bridges, insulation in the frame profile, and glazing with a warm edge design. The product’s official sales launch is 1 April 2020.

Supporting architects with a varied portfolio
Alongside modular skylights, LAMILUX’s extensive portfolio also extends to glass roofs. The LAMILUX Glass Roof PR60 features free shaping for atrium roof designs from pitches as low as three-degrees. This makes it possible to implement more or less any aesthetically-pleasing and technically-complex daylight construction.

The Lamilux range of rooflight and atria glazing systems incorporate trademark features, including good aesthetics and architectural charm, the highest levels of airtightness, and excellent heat-insulation. In addition, the portfolio boasts exceptional watertightness, elmininating leaks in extremely high winds and driving rain, as well as effective soundproofing, which reduces the impact of unwanted external noise.

LAMILUX is one of Europe’s most established and experienced manufacturers of daylight systems, specialising in the design, supply and fitting of high-performance rooflights and smoke vents. Providing technological innovation, flexible scope and customer retention, all LAMILUX rooflights are fully CE-marked and BIM ready.
