Six projects have been unveiled as finalists in the running for the RIBA East Midlands Awards for 2024.
“The East Midlands shortlist covers an exciting range of projects. From a house sensitively crafted to meet the very particular needs of their clients, innovative design solutions to tackle the climate emergency and creatively respond to the cost-of-living crisis, as well as breathing new life into an urban area, there’s a fantastic range which shows the positive potential of architecture to enhance our lives,” said RIBA East Midlands jury chair Ian Bramwell, Director of Mole Architects.
Regional award winners will be considered for further ‘RIBA Special Awards,’ including the RIBA Sustainability Award and RIBA Building of the Year, before being considered for the RIBA National Award, which will be announced later this year in summer. From that, the shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize will be compiled, with the shortlist announced this September and the winners unveiled in October.
