Why does brickwork lose its lustre over time? Wet weather, air pollution and efflorescence can all have a damaging impact on brickwork and a building’s visual appearance. So how can these effects be prevented?

A new webinar entitled ‘How to avoid brick stains and efflorescence?’, aims to demonstrate to architects and specifiers how the appearance of brickwork can be protected without costly cleaning and maintenance regimes. The webinar, which is the third in the ‘Vandersanden Inspiration Series’, will examine how and when brickwork damage occurs, and what steps can be taken to prevent it.

Hosted by Mathew Davies, Vandersanden UK’s National Specification Manager, the webinar starts on Wednesday 9th September and continues throughout the month. To register, click here.

“Architects are dedicated to creating beautiful buildings that will stand the test of time,” comments Darren White, Sales Director at Vandersanden UK. “Why should climate and environmental conditions damage their aesthetic within a five-year period or less? It’s entirely avoidable. This webinar will go into detail on the problem and explain precisely what can be done about it at building design stage.”
