Gira launches new intelligent system solutions for building control applications in 2020
As a full-range supplier of intelligent system solutions for building control applications, Gira is launching numerous new products on the market in 2020 – as a supplier of high-quality design lines, naturally other design variants, but also innovative products and clever solutions for the smart home, data security, safe living and door communication.
Gira System 3000: consistent operating concept for light, blinds and heating
Smart home applications can be retrofitted flexibly and without great effort not only in new buildings, but also in existing buildings. The Gira product range offers a wide range of solutions, for example with the Gira System 3000, which already provides simple and convenient light and blind control. With the addition of room temperature control, heating control is now also available in the consistent design and operating concept of the Gira System 3000.
The time-controlled single-room control provides more convenience and also saves energy; a temperature sensor is integrated in the device. The Gira Bluetooth app enables up to 40 individual temperature switching points as well as holiday mode. Another benefit: the room temperature controller in the Gira System 3000 can be programmed and controlled with menu guidance on site at the device or – in the Komfort version – via Bluetooth.
Expected delivery date for the room temperature control of the Gira System 3000: 10/2020

Now with voice control: Gira eNet SMART HOME
With the bidirectional wireless Gira eNet SMART HOME system, house builders and renovators have the option of conveniently controlling and monitoring building technology via smartphone – at home, on the move and always with absolute data security. This is now even more convenient with control via voice assistant, using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. They can be used to operate lights and blinds as well as to call up previously defined scenes.
The prerequisite for this is an eNet server version 2.2.1 or higher and a compatible smartphone with eNet SMART HOME app installed. With this update, Gira is expanding its outstanding solution for wireless systems for networking and controlling building technology – suitable for both private and rented homes and of course ideal for retrofitting.
The Gira eNet SMART HOME voice control is already available.

USB power supply: solution for future standard
With the flush-mounted charger of the latest generation, Gira is making use of technological progress. Because it not only enables the connection of devices with USB A, but also those with USB C plug connectors. In future modern smartphones, tablets and other devices will only able to be connected via a USB C charger. With this Gira is relying on the future-compatible USB C standard and is offering users a solution for this at an early stage.
Connecting devices with USB A and USB C plug connectors allows two devices to be charged simultaneously. With 3000 mA, the USB power supply also enables the efficient charging of all mobile devices, including tablets. Power supply units are not required. There is no more need to search for them.
The Gira USB power supply can be installed in all type 58 flush-mounted device boxes and can also be retrofitted quickly and easily instead of the conventional socket outlet. Of course the Gira USB power supply can be integrated into all Gira design lines of the Gira System 55. It therefore fits harmoniously into every design concept.
The use of the new Gira USB power supply is by no means limited to the private flat or home – it is also the ideal solution for hotels or offices. In addition, the new product is a flexible answer, especially to requirements of international markets.
The Gira USB power supply is already available.
