Inaugurated in 2016, Warsaw Home is a relatively new event in the world of interior design and decoration. However, it has quickly established itself as the one of the most important trade fairs in central and eastern Europe, with its exhibition space expanding five-fold, from 24,000-square-metres in 2016 to 120,000 square metres in 2018. Exhibitor numbers have also grown significantly, from 150 in 2016, to 400 in 2017, and to 800 predicted for 2018. Added to this, the fair attracts a large share of professionals and guests from abroad – 29 per cent in 2017, and according to forecasts as many as 37 per cent in 2018.

How we compare
Warsaw Home’s growth and potential in terms of its location, vision and the energy of its organisers draws comparisons with the world’s biggest and most important design fairs – namely Salone del Mobile in Milan and IMM in Cologne, which premiered in 1961 and 1949 respectively. The former’s 2018 show comprised 1841 exhibitors, 230,000-square-meters of exhibition space and a record 435,000 visitors. The latter, also held earlier this year, attracted 1282 exhibitors, 125,000 visitors, and incorporated 270,000-square-meters of exhibition space. These are, of course, higher figures, but they do bear comparison with Warsaw Home’s statistics, which were achieved in just three years.

Great potential, great success
From the outset, Kasia Ptak, creator of Warsaw Home, planned and organised the event with the international market in mind. The location, Ptak Warsaw Expo in Nadarzyn, is ideally suited for easy access to Warsaw’s international airport and broad hotel base. The event can be reached from the city center in less than half an hour. Modern, huge, and well equipped, the Ptak Warsaw Expo exhibition halls meet the highest standards. Exhibitors are free to use the space at their disposal in inventive ways with all the necessary technical facilities. Visitors have access to a wide range of attractions, information and gastronomic facilities, as well as the best brands and products from around the world.
