The 20,000 sqm hub brings together material Developed by Yes Make, RESOLVE Collective and  RAI front runner Material Cultures in partnership with Newham Council and the Greater London Authority,  Tipping Point East pilots a new model for circular construction, ensuring construction waste is recycled and re-used instead of going to landfill. The project is already influencing policy around the circular economy as evidenced in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs’ (DEFRA) circular economy guidance for mayoral authorities, published last week, which referenced Tipping Point East’s capacity to “support London’s ambitious sustainability agenda through careful deconstruction and salvage of building materials for reuse into socially impactful new projects”.

The study trip will take place at 10am on Tuesday June 2nd. The Tipping Point East team will be on hand to give a tour of the project and its resources and to answer questions and trade ideas about the way reclaimed and bio-based materials can be used to retrofit existing buildings.

Attendance is free of charge to RAI members but numbers are strictly limited so it’s essential to register in advance.
